This movie was a classic underdog story. There are two hot shot cops that run the town and they can pretty much do whatever they want because they are godly compared to everyone else. I must admit they picked two excelent actors for this part samuel jackson and the rock. Really these are probably the two perfect actors in all the roels they play they are the best and they are really cocky. The movie starts off with a great deal of action oooohhhh mannn. Crazy ninja scenes done by some "bad guys". Yet they meet there downfall at the same time because they fallow the criminals to a roof top and well it doesnt end well for them thanks to there stupidity. At this point in the movie several people me including yelled " what dumb asses" Then back at the police station everyone argues for who will be the new legendary duo. Extremely classic but easily predicted on the next scene kinda thing. At this time Terry speaks up in his words: he is a peacock and they need to let him fly. Really wtf kind of peacock flies? Nun the less he wants to drag his partner Allen along with him, i also beleive this to have been a great cast selection. Will Ferrel plays the part of Allen with great respect. He makes the guy seem so nerdy and anti social. Wanting to stay in the office at all times which made me laugh because he made himself seem liek such a gullable wimp.This movie has a great deal of interesting twists. Terry has to trick Allen into going in the hall at one point so that he can threaten him into going out to take this new case. This in my opinion thickens the plot like crazy because after this scene i kew the movie wold get really funny because of the fact that the Terry and Allen have total polar opposite personalities. But like Yin and Yang they make the perfect team .Terry wants to recover his reputation. Which after what we learned about him and Derek Jeter who wouldnt lol. Really how could he have made the mistake of shooting him? They really set Allen up as a beligerent person. He is a bit of a scitzo though because he thinks everything is going wrong at one point he freaks on his girl because he says she was cheating on him with her dance partner. Althogruh admitantly id have probably been a bit sketched out at that point looking at everything else that has happened to him. The surprise that comes here though is Terry is a very good dancer. How does this fit into the story at all? really this was a shot in the dark that i felt added some finess into the movie, but was totally unnecessary. The funniest part of the movie 
was Allen losing his gun. They trick him into thinking its a sort of initiation thing. Really this is when i instantly thoguht what are they setting him up to do.This gets him the responsibility of a wooden gun. Hah the first thing that i thoguht of was he has wood. Funny at the time but kinda pervy now that i say it aloud. Terry finds out that Allen used to be a pimp, but Allen thought he was just helping a friend out. His street name was Gator and he was definately a pimp lol. Terry often questions how Allen has such a hot wife to but he explains this through an accident that happened because of his pimping. Pimping gets Allen so many women in this movie that is is crazy. No way a girl can just tell that he was a pimp and is instantly attracted to him. After his pimpin career was over and he settled down with his wife Allen became the desk lover that we all know from the movie
. Through the rest of this movie a great deal of pranks go down against Allen and Terry. They get taken hostage by the crazy gaurd people and they stain Allens wooden gun. Stealing there cell phones, the car, and for some odd reason they take their shoes.... What strange people these people mst be to steal shoes. Like what are they going to do if they had left them with shoes. Though at the same tim it was funny because i felt like i connected with the movies cast when they had lost them i had the same reaction of what why are there shoes gone. Another random thing they threw in the movie was the hobo orgy that happened in Allen's car. Really how at all does this fit in because i coldnt link it to anything, but i suppose thats a classic Will Ferrel movie, things just randomly happen for no reason. The movie has its classic happy ending, but thats okay because the rest of the movie was amazing it had a ton of action and comedy in it. Resulting in alot of laughter throughout the movie. Truly a film that had a lot of Will Ferrel moments lol. Really his movies are really funny more so because you get a unch of situations where things do not fit in with what is going on at all. He knows how to make people laugh by being random, which i find funny because i tand to be very random myself
